Twenty-five years after directing Madame Butterfly, which has become an essential production in the Paris Opera's repertoire, Robert Wilson once again approaches Puccini with Turandot, the Italian composer's ultimate masterpiece. The refined and minimalist decorations, the light compositions so specific to the director's universe, lend themselves perfectly to the story of the cruel Princess, daughter of the Emperor of an immemorial China.
