The German mezzo-soprano, Regine Jurda, studied singing with Wolfgang Brendel and Gabriele Kaiser at the Musikhochschule München. Regine Jurda has appeared several times on the stage of Münchner Prinzregententheaters, including in operas by Purcell, Cavalli, Hiller, Steffani, in Benjamin Brittens Midsummer Night's Dream, Offenbach's The Beautiful Helena and Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro. At the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz she sang in operas by Richard Strauss and Johannes Maria Staud. She has also performed at the Theater Konstanz, Markgräflichen Opernhaus Bayreuth, at the Münchner Biennale, the Wiener Festwochen and the Berliner Festspielen.
