The Jerusalem Opera was first established in November 2011, with the main goals of presenting opera productions of the highest quality in Jerusalem, and providing a platform for the promotion of Jerusalem and Israeli artists, new Olim and especially young artists. The Jerusalem Opera has presented 8 full opera productions:

Two Madcap Parisian operettas: “Le mariage aux lanternes” by J. Offenbach,
“Une éducation manquée” by E. Chabrier, (2021) – both – Israeli premiere;
“La Traviata” by G. Verdi, (2021); Gala Evening, celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Jerusalem Opera, (2022);
“The Diary of Anne Frank” by G. Frid, (2022),“La Contadina” by J. Hasse (2022), “Il Tabarro” (The Cloak) by G. Puccini (2022), Loyalty and Betrayal: Thérèse Raquin – Opera by Aharon Harlap, Opera Pieces (2023).

Our next production: “The Yellow Princess” (“La princesse jaune”) by Camille Saint-Saëns.

The Jerusalem Opera seeks to promote Jerusalem artists, improve their abilities, and create a Jerusalem core for the opera audience. The young artists enjoy regular training of experienced artists. It is funded by the Ministry of Culture and Sport, the City of Jerusalem and private donors.
The Jerusalem Opera is a not-for-profit association in good standing and has tax-exempt status.
