The Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra is now ranked amongst the top European youth orchestras. The span of the institution’s activities is developed through both, the artistic planning and the educational system, by educating extremely talented children to achieve a bright future in music.

With two educational programmes, the Academy of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra and the programme ΣymphoΠedia children receive completed music education both on an individual and group level, and are therefore equipped with the necessary knowledge to enter the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra and to later develop into professional musicians.

Graduates of the programmes of the institution, are accepted by top ranking conservatoires and higher education music institutions worldwide, play as soloists, represent Cyprus in international orchestras, win competitions, participate in orchestras abroad, while the vast majority of the musicians of the professional Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, has begun its music studies and career at the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra.

As a symphonic ensemble, the orchestra performs a variety of repertoires, both in Cyprus and abroad. At the same time, the ensembles of the orchestra participate at various state, private and charity events every year. By educating the most talented young musicians of our country, the aim of our institution is to offer quality music education, similar to that of musically developed countries, in order for the children of Cyprus to receive a spherical music education, and further expand their knowledge and abilities.
