Helsinki, FinlandJussi Vänttinen is a Finnish baritone and the winner of the 2019 Lappeenranta National Singing Competition. His performances in both opera and concert venues have earned a lot of praise for his intensity and physicality and his ability to be in contact with the audience. Jussi made his debut at the Finnish National Opera in September 2019 in the role of Moralés (G.Bizet: Carmen). In September 2021 he made his debut as a soloist of Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Igor Stravinsky´s chamber opera Renard. Over the past few years, Jussi has performed the roles of Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, Ping in Turandot, Don Giovanni in Don Giovanni, Tarquinius in The Rape of Lucretia, Starveling in A Midsummer Night´s Dream, Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas, and Gunther in Die lustigen Nibelungen
