United Kingdom based mezzo-soprano Christine hails from Sweden where she studied Musicology at Uppsala University and vocal studies at Kapellsbergs Musikskola. Christine continued her training at Birmingham Conservatoire where she won the Mario Lanza Society Competition. Of her performance of Dido in Dido and Aeneas the Oxford's Times wrote "Sjolander's beautifully suspended account of Dido's Lament kept me firmly anchored in another world". Christine has performed with opera companies across the UK and recent roles include Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), Rosina and Berta (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Dido (Dido and Aeneas), Suzuki (La Bohème), Meg Page (Falstaff), Mayor's Wife (Jenufa) and Olga (Eugene Onegin).
