The Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden has long been one of the most visited theaters in Germany. In some seasons the house was the only one in a city with less than 300,000 inhabitants with more than 300,000 visitors. Uwe Eric Laufenberg continues this tradition and uses all the scope that a modern multi-genre theater offers: more than 50 productions can be seen per season on the four stages of the State Theater. There are also guest performances and special events such as scenic readings or discussions with prominent guests.
