40th anniversary grand closing gala by Various, sun 31 júl 2022, Frá (2022/2022), Hljómsveitarstjóri Ottavio Dantone, Basilique Notre-Dame, Beaune, France

At the end of this 40th edition, Andreas Scholl, favorite countertenor and loyal to the festival since 1994, offers us a program in the form of a great gala evening by inviting some of his singer friends, some of whom also made their debut in Beaune in particular Paul-Antoine Bénos-Djian, Mari Eriksmoen, Sarah Traubel and a few surprises. The orchestra that accompanies this gala for the 40th anniversary of the festival is the Accademia Bizantina conducted by Ottavio Dantone, partner of Andreas Scholl's concerts and records for many years. We will hear a medley of great opera arias by Handel, Purcell, Vivaldi, but also by Mozart, Rossini or Bizet as well as some famous duets by these same composers.
