As already planned for 2021, but postponed due to corona, GMD Mihkel Kütson is organizing a master class for four conductors from the "Forum Conducting" for the 6th symphony concert . 20 years ago he was part of this funding program of the German Music Council and received important impulses from it. Now he is a mentor to the next generation of conductors.

The four young conductors – Annalena Hösel, Liubov Nosova, Simon Edelmann and David Fernández-Caravaca – each work on two works from the program with the Niederrheinische Symphoniker. On the four concert evenings, they share among themselves who will conduct which composition. All four will always be there.

Wie bereits für 2021 geplant, aber coronabedingt verschoben, veranstaltet GMD Mihkel Kütson für das 6. Sinfoniekonzert eine Meisterklasse für vier Dirigent*innen aus dem „Forum Dirigieren“. Vor 20 Jahren war er Teil dieses Förderprogramms des Deutschen Musikrats und erhielt daraus wichtige Impulse, nun steht er dem Dirigentennachwuchs selbst als Mentor zu Seite.

Die vier Jungdirigent*innen – Annalena Hösel, Liubov Nosova, Simon Edelmann und David Fernández-Caravaca – erarbeiten mit den Niederrheinischen Sinfonikern je zwei Werke des Programms. An den vier Konzertabenden teilen sie untereinander auf, wer welche Komposition dirigiert. Immer werden alle vier zu erleben sein.
