The Moscow Musical Theater "Helikon-Opera" completes its 32nd season with the premiere of G. Verdi's opera "Aida". Spectators are waiting for two premiere blocks - from June 28 to July 1 and from July 4 to 8. The opera "Aida" returns to "Helikon" in a new guise, and this is not surprising, because 26 years have passed since its first appearance in the theater's repertoire. That "Aida" became a sensation in the 1995/1996 season, "a deafening breakthrough that put all of Moscow on its ears." The new production is being prepared by a creative team led by the People's Artist of Russia, director Dmitry Bertman. Together with him is the famous Estonian artist Tauno Kangro, the famous theater designer from St. Petersburg Nika Velegzhaninova is responsible for the costumes, the musical part is on the main conductor of the theater Valeria Kiryanov, who skillfully combines in his approach careful attitude to the score with the most innovative musical solutions and unexpected accents . The lighting score is created by lighting designer Denis Solntsev. As ancient as Egypt itself, the mysterious story of love and the opposition of good to evil, still excites both creators and the public in our time: “Aida” is staged all over the world, this performance was performed more than 1000 times at the Metropolitan Opera! The modern world requires a new understanding. The director and artistic director of "Helikon-Opera" Dmitry Bertman is known for his unexpected solutions and mysteries, and the last premiere of the season will not be an exception - a fresh look at the famous opera will give the theatrical world a performance that will surprise even the most sophisticated opera fans and connoisseurs. Aida attracts me with its incredible love story - it is a very chamber opera, it focuses on close-ups of the characters. This large-scale operatic canvas actually consists of arias, duets, tercetos, and mass scenes - as a counterbalance to human history, ”says Dmitry Bertman, stage director of the performance.
