Frida Kahlo’s world was bathed in music, as her diaries and correspondence show. This show offers an imaginary musical portrait of the icon, based on texts written by herself. From Manuel Ponce to Maria Grever, Consuelo Velasquez, and Chavela Vargas, not forgetting her favourite song: “Cielito Lindo”, from which she took the title of one of her paintings: ‘Tree of hope, stay strong”.
