Mozart's Rococo shepherd's play Bastien und Bastienne , composed when he was 12 , finds a perfect backdrop between real sheep in Low German and in the Mueß open-air museum: there, the enamored shepherd couple Bastian and Barbara let the sinister old Kohlhaas seduce them into playing with their feelings according to fashion , until they come to their senses and happily find each other again.
