One of the shortest operas by the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the one-act play Bastien and Bastien was written when Mozart was only twelve years old and is one of his first achievements. From a young Mozart, this opera was commissioned by the eccentric Viennese doctor Franz Mesmer in 1768.
"Bastien and Bastien" is an interactive play for children and as one of Mozart's first operas, it is ideal for introducing young theater audiences to opera. which bring them closer and further apart. Colin also participates in that game, watching the play with the audience and revealing the secrets of the opera.
The adaptation of the libretto in order to bring the plot closer to children and young people, as well as the insertion of educational parts through the character of Kolina, aim to introduce the youngest audience to this theatrical genre in an interesting way.
How will this love story end? Is Kolas' magic strong enough to reconcile quarreling lovers? Or maybe true love doesn't need magic?
