Nicholas Collon joins us for an adventurous programme of scenic orchestral works featuring the world premiere of a brand-new piece by Composer-in-Association Tom Coult. Francesca Chiejina takes on Berg’s deeply lyrical Seven Early Songs, before we step into Strauss’s gargantuan An Alpine Symphony with its sheer, mountainous imagery and overwhelming scope.
