The lyricism of Schumann's symphonies and
Beethoven finds an extension with the
Wesendonck-lieder, the beginnings of Wagner's great masterpiece, Tristan and Isolde, in this
romantic program where the Mahler Chamber
Orchestra is directed by its artistic adviser Daniele Gatti, current musical director
of the Rome Opera.
This evening also offers a great opportunity
