The editing of Brundibar by Arcal is the declination of one of the company's strong guidelines, "supporting new audiences" through specific actions of awareness or artistic practice, in schools, colleges and high schools, conservatories, disadvantaged neighborhoods, retirement homes, prisons, rural areas, hospitals...

With Brundibar , it is an opera sung by children (singing students and instrumentalists) in collaboration with conservatories, colleges and schools, within the framework of a close collaboration “conservatory – National Education – company”.

Brundibar in the Arcal proposal and in Louise Moaty 's design experienced "two creations":

a creation in April 2014 at the Opéra de Reims thanks to the programming of L'Empereur d'Atlantis at the Opéra de Reims and the theme "resistance to barbarism through the arts" developed throughout the 2013-14 season by Arcal. Brundibar in Reims brought together more than a hundred children from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional (CRR) under the overall musical direction of Rut Schereiner  (20 musicians and 101 singers for two distributions of soloists). The choirs and soloists were prepared by Nicolas Renaux for the Children's Vocal Ensemble of the CRR, Véronique Jung for the children of the University College and Laure Bergougnanfor children from Collège Saint-Remi;
a creation in May 2015 at the Maurice Ravel conservatory in Paris (XIIIth arrondissement – ​​direction Patrick Mancone), with 52 young student singers and instrumentalists, all under the musical direction of Béatrice Warcollier  (13 musicians and 39 singers), in the staging of Louise Moaty taken over for the occasion by Olivier Boréel , Serge Cartellier and Gudrun Skamletz .
a third creation in May 2017 at the Théâtre d'Etampes - as part of a territorial residence of Arcal in Etampois Sud-Essonne - with 46 young student singers and choristers from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Intercommunal d'Etampes - conducted by Daniel Pfeiffer-. Charles Limouse in the musical direction, Gaby Delfiner in the direction of the choirs, Marinella Pizzoni and Tamara Husson in the preparation of the soloists prepared the children from January to May 2017, for an archi-full performance on Sunday May 28 in a theater of Stamps literally boiling. The faithful Olivier Boréel , Serge Cartellier and Gudrun Skamletzpassed on the keys to Louise Moaty 's staging to the young singers for a result, once again, very moving.

Le montage de Brundibar par l’Arcal est la déclinaison de l’une des lignes directrices fortes de la compagnie, «l’accompagnement de nouveaux publics» par des actions spécifiques de sensibilisation ou de pratique artistique, dans les écoles, collèges et lycées, les conservatoires, les quartiers en difficulté, les maisons de retraite, les prisons, les zones rurales, les hôpitaux…

Avec Brundibar, il s’agit d’un opéra chanté par des enfants (élèves chanteurs et instrumentistes) en collaboration avec des conservatoires, des collèges et des écoles, dans le cadre d’une étroite collaboration «conservatoire – Education Nationale – compagnie».

Brundibar dans la proposition de l’Arcal et dans la conception de Louise Moaty a connu «deux créations» :

une création en avril 2014 à l’Opéra de Reims à la faveur de la programmation de L’Empereur d’Atlantis à à l’Opéra de Reims et de la thématique «la résistance à la barbarie par les arts» développée tout au long de la saison 2013-14 par l’Arcal. Brundibar à Reims a réuni plus d’une centaine d’enfants du Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional (CRR) sous la direction musicale globale de Rut Schereiner (20 musiciens et 101 chanteurs pour deux distributions de solistes). Les chœurs et les solistes ont été préparés par Nicolas Renaux pour l’Ensemble Vocal d’enfants du CRR, Véronique Jung pour les enfants du Collège Université et Laure Bergougnan pour les enfants du Collège Saint-Remi ;
une création en mai 2015 au conservatoire Maurice Ravel de Paris (XIIIème arrondissement – direction Patrick Mancone), avec 52 jeunes élèves chanteurs et instrumentistes, tous sous la direction musicale de Béatrice Warcollier (13 musiciens et 39 chanteurs), dans la mise en scène de Louise Moaty reprise pour l’occasion par Olivier Boréel, Serge Cartellier et Gudrun Skamletz.
une troisième création en mai 2017 au Théâtre d’Etampes – dans le cadre d’une résidence territoriale de l’Arcal dans l’Etampois Sud-Essonne – avec 46 jeunes élèves chanteurs et choristes du Conservatoire à Rayonnement Intercommunal d’Etampes – direction Daniel Pfeiffer –. Charles Limouse à la direction musicale, Gaby Delfiner à la direction des chœurs, Marinella Pizzoni et Tamara Husson à la préparation des solistes ont préparé les enfants de janvier à mai 2017, pour une représentation archi-comble le dimanche 28 mai dans un théâtre d’Etampes littéralement bouillant. Les fidèles Olivier Boréel, Serge Cartellier et Gudrun Skamletz ont transmis les clés de la mise en scène de Louise Moaty aux jeunes chanteurs pour un résultat, une nouvelle fois, très émouvant.
