Carmen is a character that is not subject to time. For more than a century she has lived on the dramatic, ballet and opera stages.
Who is she? Which one? A Spaniard, a gypsy or an unreal, collective image, created by the musical genius of Bizet based on the short story Merimee, a little more than fifty pages.
An image that has absorbed the indescribable beauty and contradictions of female nature.
