Carmen Bizet

Carmen is synonymous with femme fatale , love and jealousy, sensuality and death. Prosper Mérimée's novel and, above all, Georges Bizet's opera immortalized the low human passions in the form of art, stylized the most emaciated and pure feelings. Uruguayan composer José Serebrier performed an orchestral adaptation of some of Carmen de Bizet's best-known excerpts, such as the legendary Havana song "Love is a Rebel Bird", to end the brilliant end of the Bohemian Dance ”Which, in the play, begins the second act. 
Paul Hindemith composed the Symphony in B flatin the United States, where he has lived since 1940. He is considered a masterpiece of the original repertoire for symphony band, and he conducted it himself at the head of the United States Armed Forces Band in 1951 in Washington. Despite the use of dissonances and other avant-garde elements, the work follows the usual neoclassical style of this author, both in form and rhythm and in melodies.
