Patricia Petibon French coloratura soprano, Patricia Petibon was discovered on leaving the Conservatory by William Christie and made her debut with him in 1995 at La Scala in a concert version of MA Charpentier's La Descente d'Orphée aux Enfers, then at the Palais Garnier in Hippolyte et Aricie by Branch. She then sang Love in a staging by Robert Carsen of Orpheus and Eurydice by Gluck under the direction of John Eliot Gardiner at the Théâtre du Châtelet, in Les Indes Galantes by Rameau at the Paris Opera. She was Olympia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann by Offenbach at the Vienna State Opera and at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, and made her debut at the Salzburg Festival in Ariodante by Handel. Then she was Sister Constance in Dialogues des Carmélites by Poulenc at the Paris Opera, at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Sophie in Le Chevalier à la rose by Strauss at the Staatsoper in Vienna. At the Munich and Aix-en-Provence Festivals, at the Berlin Staatsoper, at the TCE, at the Lyon and Geneva Operas, at the Liceu in Barcelona…. she embodied the emblematic roles of Suzanne, Gilda, Blanche, Ginevra, Manon, Eurydice, Christian-Pierre La Marca "A young man who already ranks among the masters of the cello", Christian Pierre La Marca quickly distinguished himself by his magnetic presence on the best stages in the world (Philharmonie de Paris, the Southbank Center in London, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Fenice in Venice, the 92nd Street Y in New York, the Oji Tokyo Hall…) and his discography is crowned with prizes. Le Monde salutes him as belonging to “the elite of the French cello”. “His mastery of the instrument, his lyrical elegance and his good taste” applauded by Gramophone make him a particularly well-chosen accomplice for an opera singer such as Patricia Petibon. Susan Manoff Winner of the Lilian and Paul Petri competition for foreign study as a soloist and accompanist, she has worked at the Paris Opera, the Munich Opera, the Capitole de Toulouse and the Guildhall in London. Passionate about chamber music, Susan Manoff plays regularly in venues such as the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Salle Gaveau, Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, Konzerthaus Wien and alongside lyrical artists such as Véronique Gens, Patricia Petibon, Vincent LeTexier, Natalie Dessay, Hélène Delavault or even Christa Ludwig. Passionate about theatre, she has created many shows. His rich and eclectic discography includes an American music disc with Patricia Petibon and more recently an album with violinist Nemanja Radulovic.
