Après Dardanus et Hippolyte et Aricie, Raphaël Pichon et l’ensemble Pygmalion poursuivent l’exploration des partitions de Rameau en redonnant vie à Castor et Pollux, interprété ici en version de concert. Se recentrant sur les ressorts psychologiques et l’émotion, le compositeur donne à sa version de 1754 une grande humanité offrant un éclairage singulier à la rivalité légendaire entre les deux frères de Sparte.

After Dardanus and Hippolyte et Aricie , Raphaël Pichon and the Pygmalion ensemble continue to explore Rameau's scores by bringing Castor et Pollux back to life , performed here in a concert version. Refocusing on psychological springs and emotion, the composer gives his 1754 version a great humanity, shedding a unique light on the legendary rivalry between the two brothers from Sparta.
