Double You is de eerste gezamenlijke plaat van de Ierse fiddler en violiste Aoife Ní Bhriain en de Welshe harpiste Catrin Finch. Allebei hebben ze een been in de klassieke en een been in de traditionele wereld, en de melodieën op het programma putten uit beide. Je hoort traditionele tunes uit Ierland, Wales en verder weg, evenals klassieke melodieën, waar het duo hun eigen lichte hedendaagse folk omheen bouwen.

Double You is the first album by Irish fiddler and violinist Aoife Ní Bhriain and Welsh harpist Catrin Finch. They both have one foot in the classical world and one foot in the traditional world, and the melodies in this programme take inspiration from both worlds. You’ll hear traditional tunes from Ireland, Wales and from further away, as well as classical melodies, around which the duo builds their own contemporary folk music.
