The  Weihnachtsoratorium  is one of the peaks of the Leipzig master's sacred music. Composed in 1754 to celebrate the three days of Christmas, New Year and Epiphany, this musical monument, between the brilliance of the celebration and the contemplation of faith, consists of six cantatas for soloists and choir. With the approach of the end of year celebrations, Jordi Savall has chosen to give the first three. Le Weihnachtsoratorium est l’un des sommets de la musique sacrée du maître de Leipzig.
