This concert spreads festive splendor at Christmas time with kettledrums and trumpets! With the Christmas Oratorio by Carl Heinrich Graun, the Chamber Choir of the Singakademie Cottbus eV, together with the Bach Consort Cottbus, is presenting for the first time a work by this versatile Prussian composer, born in 1704 in Wahrenbrück near Finsterwalde in Brandenburg. A real find! Johann Sebastian Bach's famous Christmas Oratorio should of course not be missing. The third member of the group is the Bach student Johannes Agricola.
