In this concert, Daniele Gatti, chief conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, undertakes a fascinating journey from the Romantic to the Classical Modern era: Brahms is followed by his antipode Wagner with orchestra music from Götterdämmerung, including the famous funeral march.
