The Festival finds Mahler who has
contributed to its notoriety. Mahler finds
the Basilica which definitely suits him
good. The Song of the Earth, composed
on texts of Chinese poems from the
8th century, reconciles the voice and the
symphony, stripping and intimacy, exacerbated lyricism and the orchestra
powerful, dazzling, burst. An occasion

Paul Groves was alongside Natalie

Le Festival retrouve Mahler qui a
contribué à sa notoriété. Mahler retrouve
la Basilique qui lui va décidément si
bien. Le Chant de la Terre, composé
sur des textes de poèmes chinois du
VIIIème siècle, réconcilie la voix et la
symphonie, le dépouillement et l’intime, le lyrisme exacerbé et l’orchestre
puissant, éclatant, éclaté. Une occasion
de profiter du dernier concert de Yoel
Levi, en tant que directeur musical de
l’Orchestre National d’Ile-de-France.
Paul Groves était aux côtés de Natalie
Dessay pour une Création de Haydn
d’anthologie au Festival 2005. Après
une Missa Solemnis avec Colin Davis,
La Damnation de Faust et l’Affaire
Makropoulos cette saison, le voici prêt
à ouvrir le cycle mahlérien, célèbre
pour sa redoutable partie de ténor
héroïque. Oktavian à Munich, Carmen

La Norma, Kate Aldrich est l’une des
plus belles mezzos de sa génération.
Tous deux sont les grandes voix
