With his imaginative and floating music, Debussy became one of music's great innovators at the end of the 19th century. His music is often associated with the Impressionist painters (Monet, Renoir, Pissarro, Degas and others), and they have a markedly sensuous and immediate quality in common. In Nocturnes, Debussy and the orchestra "paint" dreamy, sensual and seductive tones.

The French pianist, David Fray, is one of the up-and-coming stars on the piano scene. He is famous for his clear, well-articulated playing, which is perfectly suited to Poulenc's rarely played piano concerto. 

Mozart's last symphony is a fantastic testament to Mozart's superior musicianship. In this symphony, he manages to unite the light, simple and elegant with the complex and deep – truly music for connoisseurs and lovers alike.

Debussy blev med sin fantasifulde og svævende musik en af musikkens helt store nyskabere i slutning af det 19. århundrede. Man sætter ofte hans musik i forbindelse med de impressionistiske malere (Monet, Renoir, Pissarro, Degas med flere), og de har i udpræget grad det sanselige og umiddelbare som fællestræk.  I Nocturnes ”maler” Debussy med orkestret drømmende, sanselige og forførende toner frem.

Den franske pianist, David Fray, er én af de fremadstormende stjerner på klaverscenen. Han er berømt for sit klare velartikulerede spil, som passer perfekt til Poulencs sjældent spillede klaverkoncert. 

Mozarts sidste symfoni er et fantastisk vidnesbyrd om Mozarts overlegne musikerskab. Han formår i denne symfoni at forene det lette, enkle og elegante med det komplekse og dybe – i sandhed musik for både kendere og liebhavere.
