Memorable Performance #14 | Overture to Die Fledermaus

It's the greatest masked party every set to music! Make Mother's Day weekend 2023 the most memorable yet, with an endless cascade of laughs set to the tremendously popular music Johann Strauss II. This production will be sung in English.

Opera San Luis Obispo is proud to produce our first grand opera since 2018, and Die Fledermaus has not been produced in San Luis Obispo since 2000! We promise to thrill and wow patrons moment-to-moment with expansive sets and costumes, ballet, chorus, an internationally acclaimed leading cast, all accompanied by the full OperaSLO Grand Orchestra conducted by Brian Asher Alhadeff. The production will be directed by Zach Johnson, who successfully directed the 2019 production of South Pacific, and our 2022 production of Carousel.
