Die "Oper aller Opern" in der Tonhalle - musiziert von denen, die in den Wiener Klang hineingeboren sind, gesungen von einem Spitzenensemble und dirigiert von Adam Fischer: mehr geht nicht! Die diesjährige Sternstunde der Freunde und Förderer der Tonhalle ist ein Fest für Opern- und Konzertfans gleichermaßen. Denn auch in einer konzertanten Aufführung kann man sich dem Sog der Geschichte um den charismatischen Verführer Don Giovanni, seine Widersacher, Geliebten und Konkurrenten, die allesamt wie Trabanten um ihn kreisen, nicht entziehen. Mozart und da Ponte ist nach "Figaros Hochzeit" ein zweiter Wurf gelungen, in dem sich komödiantische Verwicklungen und differenzierte Seelenporträts in perfekter Balance entfalten. Dass er die Oper nicht als "Opera Buffa" sondern als "Dramma giocoso" bezeichnete, lässt dabei tief blicken, denn am Ende, nach Giovannis Höllenfahrt, stehen eigentlich alle mit leeren Herzen da...
