In commemoration of its 25th anniversary, AGAO presents Don Pasquale , a brilliant and energetic comedy, considered by many to be Donizetti's most perfect and balanced opera.

Under the baton of the expert director Miquel Ortega and the stage direction of the brilliant Alfonso Romero, the production will feature a top-class cast, led by the bass Carlos Chausson in the leading role, the soprano Ruth Iniesta as Norina, the baritone Marcin Bronikowski in the role of Doctor Malatesta, and the tenor José Luis Sola in the role of Ernesto. Together with them, the AGAO “Premier Ensemble” Choir, conducted by Iñigo Casalí, and the Navarra Symphony Orchestra (OSN).

Norina y Ernesto son dos jóvenes enamorados, pero se interpone entre ellos Don Pasquale, el viejo tío de él, que tiene otros planes para su sobrino: casarlo con una acaudalada solterona. En auxilio de la atribulada pareja acudirá el Dr. Malatesta. El divertido camino hacia el final feliz de la bendición matrimonial estará lleno de estrambóticos incidentes, enredos, crueles lecciones de vida y cautivadoras melodías de Gaetano Donizetti en una ópera considerada como una de las más importantes del repertorio cómico italiano.
