Seit vielen Jahren eröffnet das Preußische Kammerorchester auf seine mitreißende Art die PUTBUS FESTSPIELE. Dirigent Jürgen Bruns hat diesmal mit dem hoffnungsvollen Akkordeonsolisten Marko Trivunović ein ungewöhnliches und spannendes Programm zusammengestellt.

1993 wurde das Preußische Kammerorchester (PKO) als junges, innovatives und flexibles Ensemble gegründet. Seine Heimat hat das Ensemble in Prenzlau, im Herzen der Uckermark. 

So wie sich die Uckermark als Gegenpol zur Metropole Berlin sieht, sieht sich das PKO als agiles und bewegliches Gegenstück zu den großen Klangkörpern der Region. 

Mit Beginn der Spielzeit 2019/ 2020 hat Jürgen Bruns die künstlerische Leitung als Musikdirektor und das Chefdirigat des Ensembles übernommen. 

 Das Preußische Kammerorchester ist auf den internationalen Bühnen zu Hause, produziert regelmäßig CDs und arbeitet stetig mit Rundfunkanstalten wie dem rbb und Deutschlandfunk Kultur zusammen. 

Die zwölf fest angestellten MusikerInnen aus sieben Nationen, die den Kern des Ensembles bilden, sind ein Dutzend Solist*innen, die sich gemeinsam der Musik verschrieben haben und mit einer enormen stilistischen Vielfältigkeit auf höchstem Niveau musizieren.

For many years, the Prussian Chamber Orchestra has opened the PUTBUS FESTSPIELE in its rousing way. This time conductor Jürgen Bruns has put together an unusual and exciting program with the hopeful accordion soloist Marko Trivunović.

The Prussian Chamber Orchestra (PKO) was founded in 1993 as a young, innovative and flexible ensemble. The ensemble has its home in Prenzlau, in the heart of the Uckermark.

Just as the Uckermark sees itself as a counterpoint to the metropolis of Berlin, the PKO sees itself as an agile and flexible counterpart to the large orchestras in the region.

At the beginning of the 2019/2020 season, Jürgen Bruns took over the artistic direction as music director and chief conductor of the ensemble.

The Prussian Chamber Orchestra is at home on international stages, produces CDs regularly and works constantly with radio stations such as rbb and Deutschlandfunk Kultur.

The twelve permanent musicians from seven nations who form the core of the ensemble are a dozen soloists who have dedicated themselves to music and play music at the highest level with enormous stylistic diversity.
