From champagne on the Seine to Heuriger on the Danube: Opera Gala Various

The slightly different opera evening. Finely sorted by country and grape variety, a high-proof operetta and wine panorama from AZ unfolds. In contrast to conventional operetta galas, in which hit after hit, our concept puts the wine in the limelight and, in the usual buffomania manner, not only builds on the well-known. The evening offers scenes from well-known and unknown operettas, and there is even space for a full one-act play. Instead of moderation, the respective operetta scenes are linked in a literary and humorous way through texts from world literature and dialogues. The musical spectrum ranges from forgotten masters such as Frédéric Barbier, Emmanuel Chabrier, Edmund Eysler, Oscar Straus to well-known and popular compositions by Jacques Offenbach, Johann Strauss and Emmerich Kálmán. In literary terms, the spectrum ranges from Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, George Bernard Shaw to Johann Nestroy, Arthur Schnitzler and Karl Kraus. Variety and intelligent entertainment with a wink are guaranteed.

At the center of the evening will be the "Never-in-German-Heard" operetta treasure "Ein Fest bei Madame Denis" (Original title: La Fête de Madame Denis Operette in 1 act, Paris 1875) by Frédéric Barbier (1829-1889).
