With almost eight hundred performances on Broadway, this unique and beloved comedy musical, had its world premiere in 2000, and spread around the world like a wildfire. Since 2002, it has already been entertaining audiences in the English West End and in 2005 he made it through, thanks to the theater of FX Šalda, also to the Czech Republic, where it has been played in several theaters for fourteen years. Inspired by the British film of the same name from 1997, it tells a story of five redundant steelmakers who could not come across new jobs. In the spirit of "Desperate people do desperate things," these dads decide that the easiest way to make money is through a strip show. Who cares that by age, physical training, let alone physical constitution, they are far from what people perceive as professional dancers. The director of this rock-funk musical, which is a dream of perhaps every theatrical spectator of the fair sex, Petr Hašek, the artistic director of the Small Theater in České Budějovice, created a premier collaboration with our drama ensemble. Petr Hašek graduated in directing from DAMU, co-founder of the Geisslers Hofcomoedianten, and in the past collaborated with the LETÍ Theater, the Minor Theater, the Drak Theater in Hradec and the South Bohemian Theater in České Budějovice
