he second appointment with the opera, staged on Friday 25 May at 8.30 pm (turn A), is an original and fascinating lyric diptych: Le Rossignol by Igor Stravinskij (Oranienbaum, today Lomonosov, 1882 - New York, 1971) and Gianni Schicchi by Giacomo Puccini (Lucca, 1858 - Brussels, 1924). The two small musical jewels are proposed, for the visual part, in a new staging of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari by a quatern of Greek artists, established above all in the prose theater, who present themselves, for the first time , in Cagliari: Thomas Moschopoulos ( director ), Dionysis Fotopoulos ( sets and costumes ), Lefteris Pavlopoulos ( lights ), Christos Papadopoulos ( choreography ), while the musical direction is entrusted, instead, to the Abruzzese Maurizio Colasanti , making his debut on the podium from Cagliari, at the helm of the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Lirico . The choir master is Marco Faelli . In the delightful Le Rossignol , set to music by Stravinskij and whose first performance takes place at the Paris Opera on May 26, 1914, they sing: Blagoj Nacoski (25, 27, 30, 1) / Davide Giusti (26, 31) ( The fisherman ), Valentina Farcas ( The nightingale ), Milena Storti ( The little cook ), Maurizio Lo Piccolo ( The chamberlain ), Arutjun Kotchinian ( The bonze ), Carmine Monaco ( The Emperor of China ), Elena Zilio ( The Death ), Annamaria Fasolino ( Soprano ), Paola Colaceci ( Alto ), Fiorenzo Tornincasa ( Tenor). In three very short acts, Andersen's tale is told of the nightingale of the emperor of China who saves him from death with the beauty of singing; a story that will not fail to fascinate the Cagliari public for the first time. 30 years have passed, however, since the last performance, at the Auditorium of the Conservatory, by Gianni Schicchi , a hilarious single act, inspired by the famous episode of canto XXX of Dante's Inferno , represented, for the first time, at the Metropolitan in New York on 14 December 1918, together with Il tabarro and Suor Angelica , with whom he forms the equally famous Puccini triptych . In this edition at the Teatro Lirico of Cagliari they sing: Alfonso Antoniozzi(25, 27, 30, 1), a multifaceted artist who, last year, presented himself to the Cagliari public in the double role of director ( La Traviata ) and funny baritone ( Napoli milionaria! ) Who alternates in the role of the protagonist Gianni Schicchi, with Domenico Balzani (26, 31), Elisabetta Scano ( Lauretta ), Elena Zilio ( Zita ), Blagoj Nacoski (25, 27, 30, 1) / Davide Giusti (26, 31) ( Rinuccio ), Giampaolo Ledda ( Gherardo ), Anna Corvino ( Nella ), Mauro Farci ( Gherardino ), Maurizio Lo Piccolo ( Betto di Signa ), Arutjun Kotchinian ( Simone ), Carmine Monaco ( Marco ), Milena Storti ( La Ciesca ), Francesco Cardinale ( Maestro Spinelloccio ), Alessandro Frabotta ( Ser Amantio di Nicolao ), Alessandro Perucca ( Pinellino ), Oscar Piras ( One messenger ), Alessandro Senes ( Guccio, second messenger ), Mirko Secci ( Third messenger ).
