Großes jubiläumskonzert: die Wuppertaler Kurrende feiert 100. geburtstag by Bach, J. S., Mendelssohn, De (2024/2024), Director Lukas Baumann, Historische Stadthalle, Wuppertal, Alemania

The Wuppertaler Kurrende is celebrating its 100th anniversary as a choir with a large gala concert in the Historische Stadthalle. The singers will be performing alongside the Elberfelder Mädchenkurrende, with whom they have close ties, and the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra. The choirs and instrumentalists begin the concert with the Bach cantata “Sei Lob und Ehr dem höchsten Gut”. This is followed by the focal point of the evening – Mendelssohn’s “Lobgesang” – a celebrated and brilliant symphonic choral work that will be the high point of the Wuppertaler Kurrende’s anniversary year.
