After the world premiere in Copenhagen in 1996, Gudrun's song will now be performed in Germany for the first time. The German premiere is in the hands of in-house director Elisabeth Stöppler. After winning the Faust Prize for her production of Richard Wagner's Götterdämmerung at the Chemnitz Theater, she is now dedicating herself once again to what is probably the world's most famous legend.
