Featuring Luxembourg baritone David John Pike, Edinburgh violinist Aisling O’Dea, cellist Clea Friend, and Canadian pianist/composer James Wright in a program of works by Ludwig van Beethoven (An die ferne Geliebte), Franz Schubert (Sonatensatz D28 for piano trio), Ralph Vaughan Williams (Songs of Travel), and the UK premiere performance of James Wright’s song cycle for baritone and piano trio, Briefe an die unsterbliche Geliebte (Letters to the Immortal Beloved), settings of Beethoven‘s mysterious letters of 1812.
