Immerse yourself in a tale of love, loss, and the human spirit in VOPA’s uniquely relevant production of Puccini’s La Boheme. With concept by Dylan F. Thomas, Director Brayden Hade transports us to the bustling streets of New York in 2020, taking a poignant twist as Mimi’s health battle unfolds against the backdrop of Covid-19.
The stage will come alive with extraordinary talent, as Shira Renee Thomas makes her role debut as Mimi, with Xavier Prado as Rodolfo, Gabriel Manro as Marcello, and Agnese Gallenzi as Musetta. Joining them are Phil Meyer as Colline, Adam McCrory as Shaunard, Eric Castro in the dual roles of Benoit/Alcindoro, and Robert Dunlap as Parpignol.
Enhancing the captivating performances is The VOPA Orchestra, under the masterful baton of Maestro Geoffrey Pope.
