On Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 6.30 pm, in the Opera Hall , we invite you to watch the show with the opera “Boema” by Giacomo Puccini, on a libretto by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica, after the novel “Scènes de la vie de bohème” by Henri Murger. The opera premiered at the Teatro Regio in Turin on February 1, 1896, under the direction of Arturo Toscanini, who was beginning his career. The play takes place in Paris, around 1830. Four friends - the poet Rodolfo, the painter Marcello, the musician Schaunard and the philosopher Colline - share their daily joys and worries in a Parisian attic. It is Christmas Eve and their good mood is disturbed by the appearance of the landlord, who came to ask for rent. The four manage to chase him away and decide to spend the rest of the evening at Momus's cafe. Forced to linger at home for a few minutes, Rodolfo receives an unexpected visit from his neighbor Mimi. The two love each other and confess their love, but their story will not have the end we all hope for. The conductor Adrian Morar (Romanian National Opera Cluj-Napoca) will be at the desk of the Brașov Opera Orchestra, and the show will be directed by Carmen Dobrescu. in distribution: Cristina Radu (Mimi), Mihai Irimia (Rodolfo), Lăcrămioara Schuller (Musetta), Adrian Mărcan (Marcello), Marian Rește (Schaunard), Ștefan Schuller (Colline), Lorand Cristian (Benoit / Alcindoro). the choir (conducted by Leonard Boga) and the orchestra of the Brașov Opera give their competition.
