On the occasion of the coronation of Leopold II, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart created a princely mirror that traces the emotional motivations of the characters from the Metastasio libretto and arouses the greatest empathy for their inner turmoil.

Director Wojtek Klemm already demonstrated his keen eye for political processes and human abysses in his acclaimed production of Euripides' »The Oresteia«. As an expert in complex and politically explosive topics, he is now returning to Augsburg in music theatre.
