One of the great initiators of musical romanticism, the French composer Hector Berlioz, went down in music history as a great visionary. He amazed the period audience with his hitherto unprecedented sound and harmonious imagination as well as the astonishing sound and time dimensions of his works. He was full of energy, temperament and he threw himself into every artistic match with immense determination. In his curse on Faust, he created one of the first sets of Goethe's immortal literary masterpiece that fascinated him. In it he found a parallel of his own struggle of torn, lonely individuality seeking a higher meaning of life. The struggle that ends tragically in his artistic vision. His work is not an opera, but also a concert composition, it represents a special genre,
