The work of Alexandre Dumas son "The Lady of the Camellias" and the creation of the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi are well known to the public and have a happy stage fate. Our theater once again offers a version of the opera, rethinking it, setting its own accents. As before, I am concerned about the topic of human relationships. In the performance, I touched on the problem that has swept over modern society - the sale of love. There are many stage versions where the plot of "La Traviata" is lost in balls, candles, crinolines. My attitude to all this is more prosaic, because behind all the external prettiness lies loneliness, the pain of an abandoned woman who sells her body. I expose the situation to the limit, not hiding it behind the brilliance of crystal and gilding. After all, you can sell yourself at secular parties, or you can also on the panel, which happens in most cases. My performance is a story about a simple girl and an attempt to escape from hopeless everyday life, a terrible life. Violetta's dream collides with reality, which in reality turns out to be more cruel and cynical than her real life. Outwardly prosperous world, so alluring and inaccessible, is mired in the prostitution of human relations. An attempt to touch this world turns into a terrible dream-phantasmagoria...

We will never know whether it was only the fantasy of the girl Violetta, inspired by reading A. Dumas' book "The Lady of the Camellias", or her personal life coincided with the life story of Dumas' heroine. The main thing is different - both our heroine and the heroine of Dumas' novel, like, indeed, all women at all times, dream of love, the only love that leads through life, gives strength, faith and hope.

Произведение Александра Дюма-сына «Дама с камелиями» и творение итальянского композитора Джузеппе Верди хорошо известны публике и имеют счастливую сценическую судьбу. Наш театр в очередной раз предлагает версию оперного произведения, переосмысливая его, расставляя свои акценты. Как и прежде, меня волнует тема человеческих взаимоотношений. В спектакле я коснулся проблемы, захлестнувшей современное общество, — продажи любви. Существует множество сценических версий, где сюжет «Травиаты» теряется в балах, свечах, кринолинах. Мое отношение ко всему этому более прозаичное, потому что за всей внешней красивостью скрывается одиночество, боль брошенной женщины, торгующей телом. Я обнажаю ситуацию до предела, не пряча ее за блеск хрусталя и позолоты. Себя ведь можно продавать и на светских тусовках, а можно и на панели, что в большинстве случаев и происходит. Мой спектакль — это история о простой девчонке и попытке бегства от беспросветных будней, страшного бытия. Мечта Виолетты сталкивается с реальностью, которая в действительности оказывается более жестокой и циничной, чем ее настоящая жизнь. Внешне благополучный мир, такой манящий и недосягаемый, погряз в проституции человеческих отношений. Попытка прикоснуться к этому миру превращается в страшный сон-фантасмагорию…

Мы никогда не узнаем, была ли это только фантазия девочки Виолетты, навеянная чтением книги А. Дюма «Дама с камелиями», или ее личная жизнь совпала с историей жизни героини Дюма. Главное другое — и наша героиня, и героиня романа Дюма, как, впрочем, все женщины во все времена, мечтает о любви, единственной любви, которая ведет по жизни, дает силы, веру и надежду.
