It was in 1786 that Mozart and the Venetian poet Da Ponte adapted Beaumarchais' scandalous play. Sensitive to the ideas of the Enlightenment and recently admitted to the Masonic Lodge “A la Charité”, the composer follows the playwright in his class struggle by exalting nobility alone, the nobility of the soul – and its corollary the genius of women. Brilliantly directed by Marc Minkowski, this production stands out as the first part of the trilogy imagined by Ivan Alexandre, during which we will follow Cherubino, a teenager moved by "all the women of the castle", destined to become the libertine Don Giovanni before the years gave him the features of the manipulator Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte...
