Largo ai giovani per questa rappresentazione genovese del primo prodigioso prodotto della collaborazione Mozart/Da Ponte, ossia “Le Nozze di Figaro”. Il cast è per intero proveniente dalle file del progetto Ensemble Opera Studio promosso dal teatro medesimo, che si occupa di selezionare e valorizzare giovani cantanti da coinvolgere nella programmazione stagionale dell’ente. L’allestimento, già precedentemente presentato a Sassari, vede la regia di Marco Spada, coadiuvato dalle scene di Tommaso Lagattolla oltre che dai gradevoli e coerenti costumi disegnati da Giovanna Buzzi. L’impianto scenico risulta senza dubbio di gradevole impatto, sospeso com’è tra elementi di realistici, piante di ogni tipo ed elementi stilizzati che bene riescono ad asservire i numerosi movimenti che accompagnano le trame della folle journée, pur ridimensionando notevolmente l’ampiezza originale del boccascena del Carlo Felice. La regia pulita di Marco Spada ha preferito evitare l’aggiunta di particolari significati e mutazioni rispetto alle prescrizioni del libretto, limitandosi a garantire l’intrattenimento del pubblico ed il corretto svolgimento delle trame del palazzo sivigliano, lasciando spazio al genio predominante del compositore salisburghese. Alcuni momenti di eccessiva staticità hanno tuttavia suscitato di tanto in tanto qualche sbadiglio in sala.
In buca, Johannes Wildner ha degnamente omaggiato il connazionale con una direzione ora brillante e slanciata, ma senza eccesso,  ora morbida e delicata, ma mai appesantita. Il buon bilanciamento tra orchestra e solisti ha peccato in qualche occasione più per inesperienza del cast piuttosto che per mancanza del direttore.
Per quanto concerne le voci soliste, particolare menzione meritano gli elementi femminili dell’EOS, a cominciare dalla frizzante Susanna di Francesca Tassinari, soprano dotato di armonici che rendono sempre ben udibile il suono timbrato e vivace, docile all’occorrenza; gradevole anche per presenza scenica, risalta subito all’occhio grazie allo sgargiante costume. Altrettanto valida la performance di Francesca Geretto come Contessa di Almaviva,  caratterizzata da una sonorità morbida e dal nobile legato che riesce validamente a rappresentare quel misto di etichetta e sfacciataggine che contraddistingue il personaggio. Sempre molto attiva Marina Ogii nel ruolo di Cherubino, che riesce anche a portare a termine una recita vocalmente corretta, insaporita dalla sfumatura sensuale e della particolare intimità con la Contessa che il regista sceglie di conferire al giovane farfallone amoroso, vero e proprio toy-boy della vicenda. Gradevole la puntuale Marcellina di Francesca Pierpaoli, così come valida anche Irene Celle nel ruolo di Barbarina. La componente maschile del cartellone ha mostrato invece qualche lacuna; Luka Brajnik, impegnato nella parte del Conte d’Almaviva, è penalizzato da un utilizzo eccessivo dei risonatori nasali che compromettono l’espansività del suono, oltre alla dizione. Manca della giusta sonorità anche il Figaro di Roberto Maietta, che, pur dotato di buon timbro e vivace presenza, troppo spesso costringe il pubblico ad aguzzare l’orecchio. Se la cava meglio il Bartolo di Emanuele Cordaro, un po’ in affanno nella celebre aria a lui affidata ma nel complesso gradevole e corretto. L’esilarante Matteo Macchioni (Basilio/Don Curzio), dimostra ottime qualità attoriali e comiche che ben unisce ad un’impostazione vocale volutamente insinuante e maligna. Valido apporto, nel ruolo del villico Antonio, anche da parte del basso americano John Paul Huckle, dotato di voce scura e tonante. Corretti sono stati i brevi interventi del coro del Mº Pablo Assante.
La messinscena risulta nel complesso gradevole e di valido intrattenimento, pur non riuscendo a sollevarsi oltre ad un certo velo di superficialità che caratterizza sia l’impostazione registica sia la resa dei personaggi da parte del cast; ne risulta una serata sì piacevole, ma che di certo non sarà ricordata a lungo quanto ad incisività. Resta comunque da apprezzare l’intenzione di favorire l’esibizione di nuove voci che, dobbiamo sempre considerare, necessitano del giusto grado di maturazione musicale ed interpretativa e che esperienze come questa contribuiranno certamente ad accrescere e valorizzare.
Buona affluenza degli spettatori (restano i consueti vuoti in galleria ed in fondo alla platea) che hanno tributato  agli interpreti applausi appena tiepidi.

The cast comes entirely from the ranks of the Ensemble Opera Studio project promoted by the theater itself, which is responsible for selecting and enhancing young singers to be involved in the institution's seasonal programming. The staging, previously presented in Sassari, is directed by Marco Spada, assisted by the sets by Tommaso Lagattolla as well as by the pleasant and coherent costumes designed by Giovanna Buzzi . The scenic system is undoubtedly of a pleasant impact, suspended as it is between realistic elements, plants of all kinds and stylized elements that manage to enslave the numerous movements that accompany the plots of the crazy journ é and,while considerably reducing the original width of the Carlo Felice proscenium. Marco Spada 's clean direction preferred to avoid adding particular meanings and mutations with respect to the prescriptions of the libretto, limiting himself to guaranteeing the entertainment of the public and the correct development of the plots of the Sevillian palace, leaving room for the predominant genius of the composer from Salzburg. Some moments of excessive static, however, occasionally aroused some yawns in the room.
In the hole, Johannes Wildnerhe worthily paid homage to his compatriot with a direction that is now brilliant and slender, but without excess, now soft and delicate, but never weighed down. The good balance between orchestra and soloists has sinned on some occasions more due to the inexperience of the cast rather than due to lack of conductor.
As far as the solo voices are concerned, the female elements of the EOS deserve particular mention, starting with the sparkling Susanna by Francesca Tassinari , a soprano with harmonics that always make the stamped and lively sound clearly audible, docile when necessary; she is also pleasant for her stage presence, she immediately stands out thanks to her flamboyant costume. Equally valid is the performance of Francesca Gerettoas Countess of Almaviva, characterized by a soft sonority and by the noble legato that effectively manages to represent that mixture of etiquette and impudence that distinguishes the character. Always very active Marina Ogii in the role of Cherubino, who also manages to complete a vocally correct performance, flavored by the sensual nuance and the particular intimacy with the Countess that the director chooses to give to the young amorous butterfly , a real toy-boy of the affair. Francesca Pierpaoli 's punctual Marcellina is pleasant , as is Irene Celle in the role of Barbarina. The male component of the bill, on the other hand, showed some gaps;Luka Brajnik , playing the part of the Count of Almaviva, is penalized by an excessive use of the nasal resonators which compromise the expansiveness of the sound, as well as the diction. Roberto Maietta 's Figaro also lacks the right sonority , which, although endowed with a good timbre and lively presence, too often forces the audience to prick up their ears. Emanuele Cordaro 's Bartolo fares better , a little out of breath in the famous aria entrusted to him but overall pleasant and correct. The hilarious Matteo Macchioni (Basilio/Don Curzio), demonstrates excellent acting and comic qualities which he combines well with a deliberately insinuating and malignant vocal approach. Valid contribution, in the role of the peasant Antonio, also by the American bassJohn Paul Huckle , with a dark, booming voice. The brief interventions of the choir of Mº Pablo Assante were correct .
The mise-en-scène is on the whole pleasant and of valid entertainment, even if it fails to lift beyond a certain veil of superficiality that characterizes both the directorial setting and the rendering of the characters by the cast; the result is a pleasant evening, but one that certainly won't be remembered for long in terms of incisiveness. However, it remains to be appreciated the intention to favor the performance of new voices which, we must always consider, require the right degree of musical and interpretative maturity and which experiences such as this will certainly contribute to increase and enhance.
Good turnout of spectators (the usual gaps remain in the gallery and at the back of the stalls) who bestowed barely tepid applause on the performers.
