A few bars, written in major, in which all the pain of the world resounds, but in which at the same time all the hope of which man is capable shines: it is perhaps in the famous motet composed a few months before his death that Mozart leaves us its highest message, it is there that in prayer it comes to touch the very mystery of music. Ave verum corpus : it is the page that Riccardo Muti, once again the protagonist of the Paths of Friendship , has chosen to seal this umpteenth "bridge of brotherhood".
After all, after two years of suffering all over the world, two years of confusion and uncertainty and limitations of freedom, prayer appears as the most natural, inevitable, necessary gesture. This is why, after a quarter of a century of "paths" traced to reach peoples struck by hatred, terror, the fury of the elements; after having embraced in the peacemaking sign of music people wounded by wars and centuries-old misunderstandings, today, while the smell of war reaches us, the Festival arrives in Lourdes and Loreto, in the sanctuaries symbol of Christian hope, where humanity flocks more suffering.
It is in those squares that the superb expressive tension of the Magnificat will resoundVivaldian, the natural and cantabile impulse of the Mozart Concerto entrusted to Felix Klieser, the extraordinary horn player, capable of overcoming the limits imposed by the body, and the profound intensity reached by Verdi in expressing the pain of the mother in front of the cross as the light of hope that transpires in the Te Deum . In search, together with the most fragile, the sick, the disabled, for that miracle that must be found within each of us - the miracle of mutual understanding and acceptance

Poche battute, scritte in maggiore, in cui risuona tutto il dolore del mondo, ma in cui al tempo stesso risplende anche tutta la speranza di cui l’uomo è capace: è forse nel celebre mottetto composto pochi mesi prima di morire che Mozart ci lascia il suo messaggio più alto, è lì che nella preghiera arriva a sfiorare il mistero stesso della musica. Ave verum corpus: è la pagina che Riccardo Muti, ancora una volta protagonista delle Vie dell’Amicizia, ha scelto per suggellare questo ennesimo “ponte di fratellanza”.
Del resto, dopo due anni di sofferenza in tutto il mondo, due anni di confusione e incertezza e limitazioni della libertà, la preghiera appare come il gesto più naturale, inevitabile, necessario. Ecco perché, dopo un quarto di secolo di “vie” tracciate a raggiungere popoli colpiti dall’odio, dal terrore, dalla furia degli elementi; dopo aver abbracciato nel segno pacificatore della musica genti ferite da guerre e secolari incomprensioni, oggi, mentre l’odore di guerra arriva fino a noi, il Festival approda a Lourdes e a Loreto, nei santuari simbolo della speranza cristiana, là dove accorre l’umanità più sofferente.
È in quelle piazze che risuoneranno la superba tensione espressiva del Magnificat vivaldiano, lo slancio naturale e cantabile del Concerto mozartiano affidato a Felix Klieser, il cornista straordinario, capace di superare i limiti imposti dal corpo, e la profonda intensità raggiunta da Verdi nell’esprimere il dolore della madre di fronte alla croce come la luce della speranza che trapela nel Te Deum. Alla ricerca, insieme ai più fragili, ai malati, ai disabili, di quel miracolo che va trovato dentro ognuno di noi – il miracolo della comprensione e dell’accoglienza reciproca
