It took Gaetano Donizetti only two weeks to create this masterpiece, but the result was one of the most brilliant comic operas, full of the most beautiful melodies and with an unusual and interesting plot. It is no coincidence that it has held the attention of listeners for more than 150 years, and Nemorino’s romance has entered the golden fund of opera classics.

 The “elixir of love”, sold by the charlatan doctor Dulcamara to the unlucky lover Nemorino, makes him believe in his own strength and win the love of the beautiful Adina, although in reality it turns out to be ordinary wine. Everything gets confusing, creating many comical situations, but in the end it ends with a wedding.

A love story with a happy ending is embodied in a cavalcade of funny scenes, where there is a little circus, comic show, lyrical flair... “I want the performance to sparkle with different facets, but at the same time be understandable to the public,” says Yuri Alexandrov. “We don’t make puzzles, we talk about what is especially dear to me and my friends in a person today - devotion and sacrifice.”


The performance was staged with the financial support of Segezha Group (part of AFK Sistema).


The performance is performed in Italian with simultaneous translation on a ticker.

На создание этого шедевра Гаэтано Доницетти потребовалось всего две недели, а в итоге получилась одна из самых блистательных комических опер, насыщенная прекраснейшими мелодиями и обладающая необычным и интересным сюжетом. Не случайно она удерживает на себе пристальное внимание слушателей уже более 150 лет, а романс Неморино вошел в золотой фонд оперной классики.

 «Эликсир любви», проданный доктором-шарлатаном Дулькамарой незадачливому влюбленному Неморино, заставляет его поверить в собственные силы и добиться любви прекрасной Адины, хотя на поверку оказывается обычным вином. Все запутывается, создавая множество комичных ситуаций, но в конце концов завершается свадьбой.

Любовная история со счастливым концом воплощается в кавалькаде забавных сцен, где есть немножко цирка, комического шоу, лирического флёра… «Хочется, чтобы спектакль сверкал разными гранями, но при этом был понятен публике, – рассказывает Юрий Александров. – Мы не загадываем ребусов, мы говорим о том, что сегодня особенно дорого мне и моим друзьям в человеке – преданность и жертвенность».


Спектакль поставлен при финансовой поддержке Segezha Group (входит в АФК «Система»).


Спектакль идет на итальянском языке с синхронным переводом на бегущей строке.
