Opéra-ballet in a prologue and four entries on a libretto by Louis Fuzelier
Created on August 23, 1735 at the Royal Academy of Music and Dance of Paris, Palais Royal.
Toulouse version established by Les Talens Lyriques from the manuscript kept at the Toulouse Municipal Library, Conservatory collection.

After the triumph of his first great lyrical tragedy Hippolyte et Aricie in 1733, Rameau composed Les Indes galantes , a large-scale opera-ballet. A dazzling fresco of exotic flavors then very fashionable, this score allows the composer to give free rein to his inexhaustible inspiration and the intoxication of the senses and rhythms. The clever staging by Laura Scozzi, supported by Christophe Rousset and his Les Talens Lyriques ensemble, gives (according to the manuscript kept at the Toulouse Library) a brilliant reading of the Prologue and the four "entrances" and poetically restores the spirit of Rameau and his librettist Fuzelier. From February 21 to March 1 , 2014 We inform the public that the production company Camera Lucida will proceed to the video recording of the show "Les Indes Galantes" on February 25 and 27, 2014 for a live broadcast on February 27, 2014 on Mezzo, Medici.tv and Culturebox.com (site internet from France Television).

Opéra-ballet en un prologue et quatre entrées sur un livret de Louis Fuzelier
Créé le 23 août 1735 à l’Académie Royale de Musique et de Danse de Paris, Palais Royal.
Version dite de Toulouse établie par Les Talens Lyriques d’après le manuscrit conservé à la Bibliothèque municipale de Toulouse, fonds du Conservatoire.

Après le triomphe de sa première grande tragédie lyrique Hippolyte et Aricie en 1733, Rameau compose avec Les Indes galantes un opéra-ballet de grande ampleur. Eblouissante fresque aux parfums exotiques alors très en vogue, cette partition permet au compositeur de laisser libre cours à son inépuisable inspiration et à l’ivresse des sens et des rythmes. La mise en scène astucieuse de Laura Scozzi, soutenue par Christophe Rousset et son ensemble Les Talens Lyriques donnent (d’après le manuscrit conservé à la Bibliothèque de Toulouse) une lecture brillante du Prologue et des quatre « entrées » et restituent avec poésie l’esprit de Rameau et de son librettiste Fuzelier. Du 21 février au 1er mars 2014 Nous informons le public que la société de production Camera Lucida procèdera à la captation vidéo du spectacle « Les Indes Galantes » les 25 et 27 février 2014 pour une diffusion en direct le 27 Février 2014 sur Mezzo, Medici.tv et Culturebox.com (site internet de France Télévision).
