Building on last year’s successful season of Love, Life and Opera 3 and Gilbert and Sullivan’s Trial by Jury, we will present Pietro Mascagni’s landmark one-act opera Cavalleria Rusticana (Rustic Chivalry) coupled with an exciting new offering.

Love, Life and Musicals will feature some of the Hunter’s top musical theatre performers presenting the best-known and loved numbers from the musicals of the 20th century.

Cavalleria Rusticana is a tale of love, lust and vengeance set in a small Sicilian village and includes the famous and haunting Easter Hymn. Along with our Opera Hunter stars, we are pleased to welcome exciting young Melbourne tenor Samuel Thomas Holland to the production in the lead role of Turiddu.

Whether you love opera or musical theatre, this great double bill will be a great night’s or afternoon’s entertainment.
