The opera was written in 1835, staged in this stage version in Perm in 2019
The famous opera by Gaetano Donizetti about love colliding with other people's interests and turning into death is the first production of Kontokristos in the musical theater. Together with artists Timofey Ryabushinsky and Anastasia Bugayeva, the director addresses the theme of duality and chooses a huge mirror as the main visual solution for the performance, which becomes a portal to another dimension. The viewer thus observes a real artist who dreams of performing the role of Lucia - the pinnacle in the art of bel canto - and a fictional character with the same name, whose innermost dream is to find happiness with her lover.

Знаменитая опера Гаэтано Доницетти о любви, столкнувшейся с чужими интересами и обернувшейся смертью, — первая постановка Константиноса Контокристоса в музыкальном театре. Вместе с художниками Тимофеем Рябушинским и Анастасией Бугаевой режиссер обращается к теме двойничества и выбирает в качестве главного визуального решения спектакля огромное зеркало, которое становится порталом в другое измерение. Зритель таким образом наблюдает за реальной артисткой, которая мечтает исполнить партию Лючии — вершинную в искусстве бельканто, — и за вымышленным персонажем с таким же именем, сокровенная мечта которой — обрести счастье со своим возлюбленным.
