La Stagione lirica si concluse con Luisa Miller, il dramma tragico in tre atti basato su un libretto di Salvatore Cammarano tratto dal dramma 'Kabale und Liebe' (Amore e raggiro) di Friedrich Schiller. A Sassari l'opera era stata rappresentata soltanto una volta, nel lontanissimo 1852 e abbinata a un'opera praticamente sconosciuta: La prova di un'opera seria, di Giuseppe Mazza. L'edizione 2007 si presentò con un nuovo allestimento ma, soprattutto, con un cast quasi tutto sardo e due cantanti del territorio tra i protagonisti: il già affermato baritono sassarese Alberto Gazale e il giovane e promettente tenore portotorrese Francesco Demuro. Fu un trionfo per entrambi in un Verdi tutto esaurito.

The Opera Season ended with Luisa Miller, the tragic drama in three acts based on a libretto by Salvatore Cammarano based on the drama ' Kabale und Liebe ' (Love and deception) by Friedrich Schiller. In Sassari the opera had only been performed once, in the very distant 1852 and combined with a practically unknown opera: La prova di una opera seria , by Giuseppe Mazza. The 2007 edition presented itself with a new staging but, above all, with an almost entirely Sardinian cast and two local singers among the protagonists: the already established Sassari baritone Alberto Gazale and the young and promising tenor from Porto Torres Francesco Demuro. It was a triumph for both of them in a sold out Verdi.
