Med base i Rovaniemi, er Lappland Kammerorkester det nordligste profesjonelle orkesteret i hele EU. Dagen før de spiller med Arktisk Filharmoni i Stormen, kan du høre dem i en egen gratis lunsjkonsert.

Her vil de pressentere to stykker, DAI av Veli Kujala og Night Journey av William Schuman.

Med base i Korundi House of Culture i Rovaniemi er Lappland Kammerorkester et regionorkester for hele distriktet Lappland i nordlige Finland. Siden etableringen i 1972 har de høstet anerkjennelse for både innspillinger og turnevirksomhet, kanskje med konsert under BBC Proms i London i 2014 som et høydepunkt.

Orkesterets repertoar reflekterer tiden vi lever i, og de kombinerer musikk av samtidens komponister med det mer klassiske repertoaret. I tillegg spiller de gjerne både tango, jazz og world music.

Based in the Korundi House of Culture in Rovaniemi, the Lapland Chamber Orchestra is a regional orchestra for the entire district of Lapland in northern Finland. Since their establishment in 1972, they have garnered recognition for both recordings and touring, perhaps with a concert during the BBC Proms in London in 2014 as a highlight.

The orchestra's repertoire reflects the times we live in, and they combine music by contemporary composers with the more classical repertoire. In addition, they like to play tango, jazz and world music.
